A Joliet native, Attorney Cathe R. Evans Williams is admitted to practice law as a member of the Illinois Bar, General Bar of the United States District Court for Northern District of Illinois, United States District Court for the Northern District of Indiana, and the Indiana Bar. Attorney Evans Williams entered the private practice of law in Chicago, Illinois in 1996 and later became a partner in the law firm of Holt, Woods & Evans, Ltd. in 2002, and managing partner of Woods & Evans, L.L.C. in 2005. Attorney Evans Williams concentrates in the areas of family law, alternative dispute resolution, estate planning, real estate, business formation, family mediation, bankruptcy, and general counsel work for profit and not for profit corporations.

Attorney Evans Williams is a graduate of DePaul University and University Of Illinois College Of Law. She is a licensed certified family mediator, certified collaborative law attorney and a licensed real estate broker. She is also a current member of the South Suburban Bar Association, Black Bar Association of Will County, Will County Bar Association, and Covenant United Church of Christ Legal Council Ministry. Attorney Evans Williams is the host of the talk radio show Attorney That Cares on WYCA 102.3 FM each Tuesday from 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. The show focuses on helping listeners become more fruitful in their life by providing legal information and education on many legal areas.

Aisha S. Cooks, Esq.

Attorney Aisha S. Cooks was born in Mississippi and raised in Dallas, Texas. She brought her southern roots to the Midwest in 1999 and was admitted to the Illinois Bar in 2008. Before joining The Evans Williams Group in 2011, Attorney Cooks was an Associate Attorney at Power & Dixon, P.C. in Chicago. Attorney Cooks concentrates in the areas of family law, general civil litigation, foreclosure defense and probate law. Attorney Cooks received her Bachelor of Science in Education & Social Policy from Northwestern University (Evanston, IL) in 2003 and her Juris Doctorate from DePaul University College of Law in 2008.


Dionna Reynolds, Esq.

Attorney Dionna Reynolds is a Junior Staff attorney at The Evans Williams Law Group, LLC. Prior to joining The Evans Williams Law Group, LLC. Dionna worked for the City of Chicago Law Department in the Buildings and Licensing Division. In this position Dionna successfully prosecuted over 200 violations of the City's building code. Today Attorney Reynolds continues her proven track record of success by handling legal matters in various areas including but not limited to bankruptcy, real estate, and family law.

Attorney Reynolds is a graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana- Champaign where she majored in Finance. She is also a graduate of DePaul University College of Law where she was a three-time recipient of the President's Reward scholarship.


Josephine Sharif

Josephine Sharif is the Executive Legal Assistant for The Evans Williams Law Group, LLC, and has been employed with the Firm since July of 2009. Josephine works in the Firm's Real Estate Division and oversees the processing of Real Estate Contracts. She assists the Firm's Principal in the areas of Real Estate, Estate Planning, Business Formation and Family Law. She has ten years of Legal Assistance experience with a concentration in Real Estate and Title Examination. Josephine also manages the administrative duties of the firm. Josephine has an extensive background in writing, communications and publishing, and holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Journalism from Columbia College, Chicago, Illinois. Additionally, she serves as the Editor for the Firm's Newsletter. Josephine is the author of the Christian novel Kiss The Son (Xulon Press, 2010), available at www.amazon.com.


Tabitha Payton

Tabitha Payton is the Administrative Assistant for The Evans Williams Law Group since November, 2011. Tabitha is a wonderful, humorous individual that has a tremendous work ethic and great attention for detail. One of six children, Tabitha was raised in Wheaton, Illinois. At The Evans Williams Law Group she manages all front desk responsibilities including but not limited to distributing telephone and written communications, tracking purchases and payments, scheduling appointments, and providing support in the areas of real estate, bankruptcy, family law, estate planning and business formation.
